The Unfolding Now: Realizing your true nature through the practise of presence.
We all know times, perhaps fleeting, when we feel real, authentic, aligned. For those of us who long to reconnect with what is most real and essential within, there is no better place to start that exploration than right here and now with our direct experience. Our life is always happening now, not in our memories from the past, or plans for the future.
Exploring our direct, inner experience can lead like a divining rod, to our truth in the moment. And following this rich, gold vein of truth may reveal Presence, with its many satisfying and enriching qualities, that arises to meet us in life.
'Be where you are', is a central principle in the Diamond Approach. We will explore this principle in The Unfolding Now book study.
A Sufi story illustrates this dilemma that many of us encounter on the inner journey, searching everywhere but within:
Someone saw Nasrudin searching for something on the ground.
"What have you lost, Mulla?" he asked.
"My key," said the Mullah. So they both went down on their knees and looked for it.
After a time the other man said, "Where exactly did you drop it?"
"In my own house."
"Then why are you looking here?"
"There is more light here than inside my own house."

If we want to find the key to our soul's unfoldment and illumination, we are wise to shine the light inside our own house, not search everywhere else. We’ll be exploring our own unfoldment and our own ‘house’ in The Unfolding Now Book Study.
