The palpable beingness/presence that we are, our awake consciousness, is not separate from our body, and our living body can come to know itself as this same presence. Body and spirit are not separate categories. This is a radical shift from the usual perspective that the body is an object, something “I” inhabit.
And our discoveries and insights on the spiritual path are not limited to our psychology; the body itself can discover that its very nature is this dynamic and awake presence.
This weekend, we’ll explore this understanding and investigate the conviction that body and spirit are separate. We’ll work with some of the patterns that reinforce our separation from knowing presence through our entire soul/body. And in this process, we might come closer to recognizing that the body itself is a precious expression of presence.
