Becoming Real: An Online Book Study and Inquiry Group
based on Diamond Heart Book One: Elements of the Real in Man, by A.H. Almaas
Each of us yearns to know ourselves, to understand our True Nature and to fulfill our potential as loving, radiant, joyful beings. We’ve all had glimpses of this essential self in moments of stillness, in nature, or through a child’s eyes. But much of the time, we are identified with our personalities: the thoughts and habits we’ve mistaken for ourselves. We’ve forgotten our magnificence, covered it over with stories about who we must be to survive in the world. And we wonder: how do we return to the truth of who and what we REALLY are?
Join us for the continuation of our book study on Becoming Real that also serves as an introduction to the Diamond Approach. We’ll be studying the second six chapters of Diamond Heart Book One, and YOU are welcome to join. Each session will include a short meditation, a teaching to deepen your understanding, an exercise to explore your own experience and a chance to ask questions and share with the group.
Dates: Sundays, June 15, 22, 29; July 6,13, 20
Times: 12 -2pm pacific; 1-3pm mountain; 2-4pm central; 3-5pm eastern time

Your teachers:
Willem Overwijk— I’m Willem, a teacher of the Diamond Approach. Born and raised in the Netherlands, I realized early on that I was not “getting” something essential about life. This sparked an extensive journey into the deep truths of humanity’s various wisdom traditions until I found my home in the Diamond Approach. I currently live and teach in San Francisco and sometimes with my husband Bert in Hana, Maui. Drawing on my professional background in cancer research, I blend the scientific method with my love and devotion for the awesome mystery and wonder of our Being.
Terry Stevens— I am a Diamond Approach teacher living and working with students on zoom and in my home office in San Miguel de Allende in Mexico. I’ve been immersed in the human potential movement for much of my adult life as a business leader, writer, enneagram teacher, grief counselor, executive and Integral coach for clients all over the world. My ongoing awakening journey has been an exploration into my willingness to become vulnerable and permeable to the many ways True Nature and Being reveal themselves through me... through everyone and everything.
