What have you learned as a result of studying the Diamond Approach?:

After more than 20 years of study in the Diamond Approach, my life has been transformed in many ways. The most obvious is that I am not easily hurt by anything that other people might say or do. If there is an internal reaction in myself, I’m curious about it rather than hurt or angry. The other significant impact of this inner work is a profound sense of freedom. The feeling of freedom arises when I sense that presence itself is acting through me as an expression of various qualities of True Nature. There is complete trust that whatever is needed in each moment will arise and I am free to flow with it - whether it be an expression of love or compassion, or a forceful expression when firmness or assertiveness is needed.

What would you like your potential students to know about you as a teacher of the Diamond Approach?:

My spiritual path has included in-depth study in many other traditions, which allows me to understand multiple perspectives and relate well to students who come from other disciplines. I have been especially influenced by the Hindu tradition and the Bhakti (devotional) path that emphasizes the heart. I have visited India numerous times and have a real fondness for the many holy sites and sages in India. I was raised in the Catholic tradition, and after shunning Christianity in my 20’s and 30’s, I have taken toward Christian mysticism in recent years. I have also been influenced by teachers from Tibetan Buddhism, Sufism, Sikhism, and even the Course in Miracles.

I bring personalness and heart to my students along with precision and clarity to guide the student’s process of unfoldment.

What attracted you to the Diamond Approach?:

I learned about the Diamond Approach from one of my yoga students (I was a yoga teacher in the 1990’s in Chapel Hill, NC). He had been in the Diamond Approach for more than two decades when I met him and I could sense his inner peace. When he told me about how inquiry is used to discover direct access to specific elements of our true essence and how the Diamond Approach made it easy to work through psychological blocks, I was immediately very interested. I started reading books from A.H. Almaas and could tell this path would be a great fit for me. So, I joined the school as soon as I could find an open group.
