The Ridhwan School

"Community is about being fully ourselves with
each other and being together. It has a power to do things that we can’t do individually, especially regarding our own growth and development."

-Brad Shapiro, Diamond Approach student

The Ridhwan School

The Ridhwan School is home to the Diamond Approach, a contemporary spiritual path and a community of individuals engaged in inner development. The school comprises all members of Diamond Approach groups and students working individually with a Diamond Approach teacher. Our work is taught in groups committed to long-term inquiry, guided by teachers with extensive seminary training. Students learn to ground, sensitize, recognize, and trust the inherent guidance of Being. The school community manifests a field of presence and deep learning based on the continuous years of each group’s shared personal inquiry and practices, rooted in sincerity, trust, and dedication.

The Teachers

Diamond Approach teachers are highly-trained practitioners with extensive seminary training, supervision, and continuing education. Their unique understanding of the development of the personal in a realized life is honed over years. Having learned to discriminate implicit aspects of Being as recognizable forms of consciousness and embodiment, they skillfully communicate how this contributes to, and informs, the human experience. Diamond Approach teachers guide students in personal inquiry based on open-ended, embodied engagement with their immediate experience, supported by a cultivated sense of presence.

Pathways in the School

Our work is taught in groups committed to long-term inquiry and exploration under the guidance of experienced Diamond Approach teachers. We teach how to ground, sensitize, recognize, and trust the inherent guidance of Being. The school community manifests a field of presence and deep learning based on the years of each group’s shared personal inquiry and other practices, rooted in sincerity, trust, and dedication.

An option to being involved in a committed group is to pursue this inner work individually in ongoing sessions with a Diamond Approach teacher.

For those discovering this path, some teachings are available through seminars, online courses, public talks, open workshops, and book study groups. Numerous books, interviews, and articles as well as audio and video recordings are available.

The school exists in many locations on multiple continents with potential for new groups to begin wherever there is sufficient interest and commitment from prospective students. Online programs make the Diamond Approach available worldwide.
